Selingan Island
Selingan Island is located within the Turtle Islands, which lies in the Sulu Sea some 40 kilometres north of Sandakan in Sabah, east Malaysia. It consists of three (3) islands – Selingan, Bakungan Kecil and Gulisan, including the surrounding coral reefs and ocean. The Park is noted for its green turtles and hawksbill turtles which lay their eggs on the beaches of the islands. The Park covers an area of 17.4 km².
Bakungan Island
Think breath-taking sea scenery, beautiful sunset, crystal clear sea water and beautiful colourful corals. Here, you can dive, swim and snorkel. Don’t forget your water-proof / underwater camera!

Day Trip: Selingan & Bakungan Island
Packed Lunch is provided in this day trip
- 08:40 Meet & greet from Sandakan airport or hotel lobby within town area. Head off to jetty for 1 hour boat journey to Selingan Island.
- Boat departs at 10:45am sharp
- Upon arrival on the island, check-in at the chalet and lunch at Selingan Cafeteria (lunch provided as part of tour package). The afternoon is spent free at your own leisure. You can swim or snorkel around the island or simply relax on its white sandy beach.
- 13:15 Departure for Bakungan Island
- The afternoon is spent free at your own leisure at Bakungan Island
- 15:30 Departure from Bakungan Island back to Sandakan
